THE HUNTS

We offer fully guided elk hunts for both archery and rifle hunters in Western Wyoming. The unit we hunt has both a limited-quota license and Region W General license. The archery hunting leading up to the rifle opener is one of our favorite times of year to be in the timber.

Every year is a little different, but the hunt typically coincides when the larger bulls are still assembling harems and work well into archery setups. The archery hunt can be hunted on a limited-quota tag or Region W General license with the addition of an archery stamp. Our limited-quota license offers hunters one of the rare chances to hunt elk during the rut with a rifle anywhere in the West.

Make no mistake these rut hunts can be physically demanding. The majority of the bulls we kill, archery or rifle, are within archery range. We primarily use horses to get into position with the best hunting areas accessed beyond that on foot. Regardless of which hunt you choose you need to be prepared to ride and walk. We will hunt you as hard or as easy as you like.

Both camps run high opportunity and success rates year after year.
We limit hunters to (6) to (8) per week depending on specific hunt and time of year. Currently the number of points taking to draw this unit is 4 Plus points based on 2025 drawing odds and license type. We strive to only harvest mature (5) and (6) point bulls, they typically average between 260 to 300.
